Redevelopment of Hotels Along I-70

Many of our residents will be pleased to learn that improvements are in the works near the Woods Chapel/I-70 interchange.   H&S Hotel Partnership has purchased the Super 8 next to Harley Davidson on Jefferson Street along Interstate 70 as well as the three hotel buildings at the west end of Jefferson Street near Woods Chapel.

The goal of the new owners is to help make the Woods Chapel exit and the strip along Jefferson Street more attractive to travelers and the residents of Blue Springs.  Security has been boosted and the clientele will be better screened.

The Super 8 Hotel has been refurbished with new furniture, carpeting, drapes, beds, and bedding.  Corporate Extended Stays will be finished and ready for tours on September 1^st, 2008.  The Nights Inn & Suites has been remodeled with clean new furnishings, beds, and carpet.  20 Kitchenettes have been added for extended stays.

The oldest building, which long time residents may remember as the old Interstate 8 from the 1970’s, will be totally demolished and replaced with a modern LaQuinta Inn & Suites.  This new facility is scheduled to open in March 1^st, 2009.
