Nonprofit Organizations Need Our Help!

by Jeff Quibell 23. October 2008 01:12

With the arrival of fall, we enter the season of fund raisers for non-profit organizations. The Community Services League held its “Rockin’ Evening of Hope” gala last Friday. The community turned out in force to support its efforts in these difficult financial times. In addition to the support of individuals and local businesses, it was exciting to see the mayors of so many of our neighboring cities supporting CSL through their presence at the gala.

When talking about supporting our area non-profits, please remember that on Saturday, the Heritage Philharmonic will open its 64th concert season with a performance at 7:30 p.m. in the Blue Springs High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10.

You may remember that I play cello in the Philharmonic, so when you come to the concert, please introduce yourself to me during intermission. To thank you for your support, if you e-mail me your name at jeffq@cprosinc.com, I will have a “two for the price of one” certificate waiting for you at the concert will-call table. Don’t miss this exciting performance!
