Mary Chambers, who plays flute in a string quartet that I perform with, recently won the National Space Society's "Return to Luna" fiction writing contest.  She will be having a book signing event at Parkside Books on Saturday, January 17, 2009, from 12:00-3:00pm for the anthology "Return to Luna", which contains her Grand Prize winning story, "Visual Silence, as well as 17 other winning stories from the contest.

Mary will be present along with fellow authors David Schibi (The Return) and editor Eric Reynolds.  Parkside Books is in Blue Springs, south of I-70 off of 7 Hwy, behind Einstein Bros. and Sheridans.  It backs right up to Railroad Park.  The address is:

Parkside Books
208 NW 7 Hwy
Blue Springs MO 64014

This is a great science fiction anthology. The entire community is invited to attend.  This is a great opportunity to support a local business and author, I hope to see you all there!
