St. Mary’s Medical Center Celebrates
OR Renovation with an Open House
Blue Springs, Mo. – The $3.7 million renovation and expansion of St. Mary’s Medical Center’s surgery area is nearing completion. An open house showcasing the new area is planned for Wednesday, December 14. The celebration begins with a blessing at 6:15 p.m., with the open house and tours of the area continuing until 8 p.m. The public is invited to attend the celebration.
Construction began late last year. This is the first major renovation of the surgery area since St. Mary’s opened in 1981. The project enlarges two operating rooms allowing for more efficiency in patient care and accommodating state-of-the-art technology.
The St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation raised $1 million of the total cost of the project with the support of physicians, staff and the community.
